Summer Bucket List for Families in Indianapolis, IN

There is still plenty of time to create fun memories with your family in Indianapolis before Summer ends! So I’ve put together a list of some of our favorite activities, as well as others that you in the KUIG community have sent to me as must-do activities in Indy this summer!

Watch an Indy Eleven Match: 

  • Tickets start at $10

  • Kids 3 and under are free (lap seat) 


Experience an Indy Indians Game:

  • Tickets start at $13 

  • Kids 2 and under are free (lap seat) 

  • Kids eat free on Sundays & Bluey is back August 4th 


Have fun at local and state Fairs:


Jam out at an outdoor summer concert: (click the link to see up-coming concerts)


Check out The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis: 

  • Make sure to head outside to experience the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience 

  • First Thursday Nights of each month all visitors pay $6 for admission 

  • See if you’re eligible for the access pass 

  • Kids 2 and under are free. 


Adventure at Go Ape Indianapolis: 

  • Located in Eagle Creek Park 

  • Kiddos must be at least 10 years old for the Tree Top Adventure Forest Escape has no age restriction 

Get tickets here (buy online ahead of time to save $$)


Visit the Indianapolis Zoo: 

  • Kids 2 and under are free 

  • Ticket prices vary per day 

  • Don’t forget about their newest Chimpanzee exhibit that just opened in 2024. 


Day trip to a local favorite Indy area pool: 


Play and watch Colts Training Camp:

  • Starting July 25th (free most days)

  • Family day is August 2nd
