Finding kid-friendly restaurants can be a daunting task sometimes! I wanted to share a list of our go-to places to eat lunch/dinner at in and around Indy’s South side!

Their menu is very extensive and has options that everyone in the family can enjoy– from soups, salads, wings, and more. They also have a kids menu that has a few options for even the pickiest of eaters. They have outdoor seating you can enjoy too during the warmer months! Their wings have always been a hit in our family.

This pizzeria has a very homey and family-friendly feel to it as soon as you step in the door! With over 20 different specialty pizzas you can choose from, there is one everyone will like. My husband really loves the lazyboy pizza and I never can say no to a good BBQ pizza.

Tacos and Brews Cantina (Greenwood)
3113 W Smith Valley Rd. Greenwood, IN
I’m an avid fan of all Mexican food, so finding a good family-friendly Mexican restaurant is important to me! There are many authentic options here as well as some more with a modern twist. The kids menu also has some great options (including chicken tenders for kids who like to keep it simple). There hasn’t been anything on the menu I’ve tried that I haven’t liked.
Hours: Everyday 11am-10pm.
The Willard
99 N Main St. Franklin, IN
First of all, the location for this restaurant is so cool! Set in an 1860’s building it’s very historical in downtown Franklin. This American food restaurant has any and every option you can think of on the menu for adults and kids. I always have to try a buffalo chicken wrap when it's on the menu and it did not disappoint. Enjoy outdoor seating during warmer months as well!
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 11am-9pm.
Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm.
Johnsons BBQ Shack

If you’re looking for some good BBQ– this is definitely someplace you should check out! Their mac n cheese is a go-to item for my 3 year old. Don’t worry, I love it too. You can not go wrong with any of their sandwiches either. They have lots of awesome sauce options to choose from as well. There is outdoor seating, but make sure to call ahead of time to make sure it’s available to use if you want to sit outside.
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 11am-8pm.
Friday & Saturday 11am-9pm.
Pizza and Libations
75 Baldwin St. Bargersville, IN

Pizza and Libations is a contemporary Italian eatery with handmade pasta options, fresh baked breads, and amazing neapolitan-style pizzas. They have lots of shared plate options you can share with the kids or you can all share one of the pizzas! My husband and I really love the Sweet Heat pizza and the garlic knots are very addicting. They also have outdoor seating during the summer months as well as live music. Make sure to check their social media to see what is going on!
Hours: Monday - Thursday 4-10pm.
Friday & Saturday Noon-10pm
The Knuckle Sandwich
5116 IN-135 Suite A Bargersville, IN
It is such a fun and creative experience with kids! This “1950’s diner inspiration” is a lot of fun to check out and the decor is amazing. We absolutely love the milkshakes and my husband never turns down a burger! It can be pretty busy, so try to call ahead to figure out if there is a wait time before you go with kids.
Hours: Monday - Saturday 10:30am-8pm.
Sunday: Closed
