Some of the activities you can check out at The Apple Works include: face painting, pony rides, train rides, food trucks, live music, wagon rides, pumpkin picking, and more! This family friendly activity has free admission.

Visit October 5th & 6th  for the Highlander Festival. More food trucks will be here with lots of yummy fall goodies to buy & try! Activities are open Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 28th through October.

Anderson Orchard

369 East Greencastle Road, Mooresville, IN 46158

Hours: 8am to 8pm or dark, whichever comes first, seven days a week.

Anderson Orchard is located just under 30 minutes from Greenwood on Indy's south west side. If you’re looking for an orchard that has lots of options for U-pick produce throughout the year, this is the place to visit. Walk with your kids and stroller or drive back into the orchard to pick apples this Fall. If you don’t have the time, grab a bag of already picked apples from their apple barn. You can also grab some tasty treats from the concessions. The apple cider slushie is so good– you can’t go wrong!

Make sure to visit their Apple Festival and Craft Fair for lots of Fall Family Fun! September 28th & 29th, 2024.

See more information about U-pick and fall events here.

Dulls Tree Farm

1765 W. Blubaugh Avenue Thorntown, IN 46071 (North of Indy)

This one is a little bit of a drive– roughly about an hour north of Greenwood, but you can’t go wrong with the amount of fun Fall activities! Dulls Tree Farm opens September 21st for the Fall season. Admission includes access to over 45 activities at the farm. Some of the activities include: the new Tractor Drive, Barnyard Sports Zone, Ropes Range, big slides, hayride to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, barrel train rides, small zip line, slingshots, farm animals, barnyard bouncers, and more!! If you’re closer to the South or East side of Indy– this spot might be just what you’re looking for when it comes to all different types of Fall activities! You can check out their U-Pick apple orchard, pumpkin patch, kids playground, and their concession area. Their  homemade hot apple cobbler a-la-mode is a MUST try! They also have FREE parking and FREE admission.

Kelsay Farms

6848 N. County Road 250 E | Whiteland, IN 46184

From hayrides to animals to pumpkins and more - you are sure to have a great time! Their moo-train is our favorite! Open Weekdays starting September 27th  as well Noon-6 PM for Fall Break (OCT 7-18, 2024). This place has an activity all kiddos can enjoy! You can definitely bring your stroller, sometimes the terrain can be rough in the corn maze though. Parking is free, but there is an admission fee for anyone over the age of 23 months. Make sure you check socials for up-coming coupon codes to save on your tickets!

EA Cookie Class

Millie's Ice Cream 90 W Jefferson St. Franklin, IN

This activity is a fun one! I went to my first cookie class last Fall and had a blast. Challenge you and your friends to see who can make the best looking cookies! There's lots of sweet treats, laughs, and even wine! Fall class happening September 20th. Tickets must be purchased in advance here.

Haunted House Children's Museum

3000 N Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46208

This was honestly fun for our whole family last year and both of our kids were under 4. It’s not super scary– more spooky than anything! Make sure to check the dates and times of when you plan to go.  Tickets for Hays & Sons Friendly Hours and AAA Frightening Hours are $9 ($8 for members) and go on sale Sept. 10th.

During Hays & Sons Friendly Hours trick is definitely geared more towards little kids and includes trick or treating! The Haunted House is open Oct 10th - Oct 31st. Get your tickets here!

Harvest Nights at Newfields

4000 Michigan Rd Indianapolis, IN  46208

The spooky, not scary, spectacle returns to The Garden at Newfields September 29th and tickets are on sale now! Walk through the Pumpkin Path of Peril and feel the Ghost Train Rumble beneath your feet, all the while taking in tens of thousands of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. This event is absolutely stroller friendly– actually I recommend it if you have small kids. It takes around 2 hours to explore it all and I think it's worth it! Kids 5 and under are free, but make sure to grab their free ticket online before going!
